At St Thomas' Leesfield CE Primary School we have a lunch time club every Thursday called Discovery Channel where we play games, explore our faith and generally have fun. About 30 children attend the club each week. We also try to think about others in a variety of ways and one of these is to share a Lent Lunch together. We don't have our normal school dinners or packed lunches but instead we eat bread and cheese and drink water. We leave the lunch feeling hungry but realising that some children experience this feeling every day. This year we gave the money that we would have spent on our lunches to SEED. It was really good to think that as a group we could help other children like us in some small way whilst at the same time being made to think about how fortunate we are in
